Going
Out of Business Sale - Ruth
Leff, a Milwaukee speech-language pathologist,
founded Crestwood Communication Aids, Inc. 29 years
ago. She is an early pioneer in the field of
Augmentative and Alternative Communication Aids
(AAC). Ruth has patented 10 communication
devices to help children and adults express their
thoughts and needs. Her
motivation for creating Crestwood Communication
Aids, Inc. evolved when her sister, Pauline, was in
the last stage of multiple sclerosis and was no
longer able to talk or move. Ruth invented
Talking Pictures®, a simple flash-card
system, to help her sister express her thoughts by
blinking, smiling, frowning, or nodding her
head. All of
Crestwood's products are based on
need, starting with what the person
can do. There is a wide variety
of practical products to meet individual
needs. Our goal is to help people open the
doors of communication so that they can control
their own environment and gain
independence. The
Wisconsin Speech and Hearing Association awarded
Ruth its 2005 Lifetime Achievement
Award. | Products | How to Order | Order Form | |
